The BTU07 is a full featured and low cost BTU meter with Modbus over RS485 capability developed specifically for sub metering applications. The DFSR737A is unique among BTU meters by having the BTU calculator separate from the flow sensor, which allows the flow meter to be installed where it is needed, but with the BTU calculator and display installed anywhere it is convenient for tenant reading. The BTU07 comes as a set together with the flow and temperature sensors.
Chamber Type Silencers
Chamber type silencers provide the best noise control across the entire audible range. The basic design incorporates non-resonant side tube arrangements to permit passage of the exhaust gases from one chamber to another. This creates a reversal of flow and develops a predictable amount of back pressure. Another important feature of chamber type silencers is the availability of side inlet exhaust connections. Units of this type, except for spark arrestor designs, can also be supplied with side outlet exhaust connections. These side connections, while having little effect on the pressure drop, will in many instances greatly facilitate installation of the silencer by eliminating the need for elbows in the exhaust piping.
Residential grade chamber type silencer. Use a model M22 in residential and light industrial areas where background noise is relatively high and constant and the need for higher degrees of silencing is minimal. Expected attenuation is 20 to 25 dBA.
Semi-Critical grade chamber type silencer. Use a model M32 in residential areas where background noise is present but not objectionable. In these areas, installation of an M32 on an engine exhaust is intended to bring the noise level down to match the ambient noise levels. Expecteded attenuation is 25 to 32 dBA.
Critical grade chamber type silencer. Use a model M42 for quiet residential areas where background noise is relatively low and “critical” grade silencing is required. Expected attenuation is 30 to 38 dBA.
Hospital grade chamber type silencer. Use a model M52 for “hospital grade” noise reduction in heavy industrial areas where machinery operates continously around quiet locality. Such as hospitals, shools and quiet residential districts. Expected attenuation is 35 to 42 dBA.
Hospital plus grade chamber type silencer. Use a model M62 for the highest degree of silencing in areas requiring “hospital plus” noise reductions. The M62 is presently the top-of-the-line silencer without resorting to multiple silencers in series or custom designed silencers. Expected attenuation is 35 to 50 dBA.
